SHELBY PAINT & DECORATING PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® REFERRALS LIST

The SHELBY PAINT’S PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® is provided by SHELBY PAINT & WALLPAPER, INC. (“SHELBY PAINT”) as a service to our customers.   The Program is based upon the premise that not every person who claims to be a Painter is qualified to be a Painter, and that by making professional training available to Painters who purchase our quality BENJAMIN MOORE Paints, our customers can gain access to a pool of qualified Painters for their home improvement needs. 

SHELBY PAINT’S  PREFERRED PAINTERS are independent Painters or employees of painting contracting companies that have attended and completed a series of classes taught by experts from SHELBY PAINT, on subjects which include proper methods of surface preparation,  application, finishing and estimating, and also addresses education on important legal issues all Painters need to know.  

Inclusion of a Painter or Painting contractor on the SHELBY PAINT’S PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® list is not a guaranty or warranty by either BENJAMIN MOORE or SHELBY PAINT, of the work that these Painters perform for customers who find them as a result of this list.   Rather, consumers can know that the Painters and Painting contractors on the list have received expert training in the important aspects of the Painting trade from professionals who have years of experience and know how about Paints and Painting.

Neither BENJAMIN MOORE, SHELBY PAINT, nor the SHELBY PAINT  PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® license or certify the Painters who successfully complete the Program. The Program does not serve as a substitute for Painters meeting the requirements for licensing established by the State of Michigan.  Painters who have completed the  BENJAMIN MOORE PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® will be able to advise you of these licensing requirements if you ask.

By utilizing the list, and especially if a consumer contracts with a Painter named on the BENJAMIN MOORE PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® list, the consumer acknowledges that it has read and understands the statements above, and that the consumer waives any and all claims against BENJAMIN MOORE and/or SHELBY PAINT related to the use of any Painter who has completed the SHELBY PAINT PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® and is found on the list.

ALL QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE VALIDITY, OPERATION, INTERPRETATION, AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE AGREEMENT CREATED BY A CONSUMER’S USE OF THE SHELBY PAINT PREFERRED PAINTER PROGRAM® LIST OF PREFERRED PAINTERS WILL BE GOVERNED BY AND DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
